The Light House Pavilion, while developed in the present, provides a glimpse of future living with integrated technologies, sustainable materials, and intelligent building systems. Using light as an initial concept, we began to explore the potentials of a small 800 sq.ft. plot of land to map out how light has the ability to change the way we live and interact with our space. The LightHouse Pavilion could be your condo suite, your house, your cottage, or your studio. As a means of keeping the “lightness” of the skin, the intent is that the surface constitutes a structural lattice, further maintaining the idea of efficiency. This project is about “light”, both literally and phenomenologically.
