The Duniway Portland

Portland, Oregon – also known as the City of Roses – is recognized worldwide for its independent, eclectic character and passionate, craft-driven ethos. The city is also known for its intersections: literally, its compact grid is internationally celebrated by urbanists; figuratively, craft mingles with technology, business with leisure and development with conservation.

For the extensive renovation and redesign of the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower, Thayer Lodging tasked DesignAgency to design the hotel’s public spaces and guestrooms in a way that celebrates the history and artistic culture of Portland. Newly named The Duniway, the hotel is somewhat unusual as it is an independent entity within the larger Hilton portfolio. Inviting and refined, the interiors are infused with modern and local culture and feature a mix of traditional and contemporary furnishings with nature-inspired elements.
