Varda at TIFF Lightbox Toronto

DesignAgency’s reimagining of the third floor at TIFF Lightbox, home of the Toronto International Film Festival, is centred around Varda, a new café-bar named after of celebrated French filmmaker Agnès Varda. Varda and its adjacent corridor lounge areas are open to the public, but feature special members-only programming on Tuesdays.

In the corridor, a wall-to-wall screen plays atmospheric film clips curated by TIFF, and tall curvy wing chairs invite lingering. Inside Varda, a gleaming stone and cork clad bar surrounded by clusters of plush upholstered seating create a quietly luxurious ambience that’s perfect for pre- and post-screening connection.
